I promised myself that I would get to the gym again and without even thinking about this morning, I got up and got my workout shoes on and left the house. It was great to get to the gym again and today since there was no one there, I decided to try out some of the weight training equipment too. After my 20 minutes on the treadmill, I did exercises for my abs, legs and triceps. Then I got on the rowing machine to finish out my workout. It felt great until I tried to get in my car and my legs felt like they were lead.
Later today, I got a call that we were invited to a birthday party for a friend's baby that was turning one. There was going to be cake and pizza there. Yikes!!!! So I didn't want to let her down just because I have no will power, so we went. I took one of my jugs full of water with me so I wouldn't be tempted by soda and promised myself no cake. When ever I start a lifestyle change (diet), I always think to myself I am never going to have bad food again and when I see something like a cake, I have a hard time resisting it. Actually that's the problem, I don't resist it, I just eat it. Anyway, luckily the pizza had some vegetables and chicken on it and it wasn't greasy or anything. When the time came for cake, it wasn't hard to say no. I had my workout in and knew I was weighing in tomorrow and I didn't want to ruin the progress I had done. Yeah, point for me.
After we got back home, I tried Jillian's new workout game for the Wii and then some Wii Fit. All in all, I added another hour of activity to my day and by the way, Jillian kicked my butt. I know I am on the right path. Keep me on it please. See you tomorrow with a weight loss.

Wow! You're impressing the heck out of me Stephanie. It's so hard to face all the normal life stuff and it's really easy to just give up for an hour or two. Nice job! Keep it up, and you better believe I'll be checking on your loss tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work. You make me proud. Mom
ReplyDeleteHey Stephanie,
ReplyDeleteIf you have a iPod there is a podcast that is good to listen to. It's at allinoneworkout.com and fitnesmakeover.com
I listen to it to get some tips and if you emial her for questions she is quick to reply. :)
Keep on Keeping on!
Remember when you are weight training to rest a day between workouts. The only muscle group that you can work everyday is your abs. So focus on upper body and abs one day, then lower body and abs, the next. The actual working of the muscles doesn't do anything, it's the healing time that makes them grow stronger.
ReplyDeleteYou really need to think about weight watchers Stephanie. I'm worried you aren't eating enough. Tomorrow you should post your eating diary, I'm dying to know. (:
